This month’s issue of Maximum PC presents 50 things every PC geek should know, or as they humbly refer to it, “the be-all, end-all guide to the complete and utter mastery of the geek arts.” I like to think of myself as a bit of a computer geek, so I eagerly dug into this one to see what the good folks at Maximum PC had to offer.
I came away impressed and can heartily recommend this guide for anyone looking to build up or refresh their PC skills. From handy and useful tables and charts that show how to identify the various PC connectors, or the most commonly used HTML commands, to crucial tasks like benchmarking computers and putting all your important apps on a USB stick, to quirky, fun items like picking a lock or beating Quake in less than an hour, this comprehensive article will have something for everyone to learn.
