I find that having some hanging house plants around the house and porch really adds a nice feel to our place so I was especially excited to find this article about good plants to use in hanging situations in the latest issue of Horticulture. It turns out there are lots of great options for hanging plants beyond the traditional fuchsias and begonias, and Hanging in the Hood presents a lot of information, some great suggestions, and of course the spectacular photos we’ve come to expect from Horticulture for hanging plant options.
I didn’t know that bidens or flowering maples worked well as hangers, but they sure do. I’m going armed with this article next time I go to the nursery so we can incorporate some of these suggestions into our hanging plant mix.
